X Factor reject Samantha Chawner reveals she’s married her long-term partner Matthew Parkinson – but sister Emma is absent following a bitter family feud and the death of their mother Audrey

X Factor star Samantha Chawner tied the knot with long-term partner Matthew Parkinson in a shocking wedding in Manchester on Saturday.

The reality star, 36, who appeared on the ITV talent show alongside sister Emma, 34, in 2009, was she not joined by her sibling or father Phillip, 68, on her big day following a bitter family feud.

The wedding took place just two months after the tragic loss Chawner matriarch Audrey, who passed away ‘passed peacefully in her sleep’ aged 73, with whom Samantha reconciled with on her deathbed.

In snaps obtained by The Mirror the bride looked gorgeous in an ivory gown as she showed off her jaw-dropping 10-stone weight reduction and posed alongside her groom in his smart blue three-piece suit with matching fedora.

Samantha, who became estranged from her family after moving out, revealed now husband Matthew convinced her to go to Audrey shortly before her death.

Telling the publication: ‘I used to be really shocked as she was so thin and he or she was blind, and never in a position to speak, but I told her I loved her and he or she touched my hand. She knew I used to be there and I felt like I had made my peace together with her.’

Samantha went on to assert that she was not welcome at her mother’s funeral and together with her father absent from her wedding a neighbour escorted her down the aisle.

They were joined by 100 guests with Shania Twain’s From This Moment On playing because the bride entered the venue.

Samantha and Matthew have been a pair since 2019 after meeting on a dating website and sadly have sadly suffered three devastating miscarriages throughout their relationship.

‘It was heartbreaking to lose the babies but we’re longing for the long run. I’m also a stepmum to Matthew’s three children, who we see once a month, and we now have our dog, one-year-old French bulldog Cleo’.

The unemployed family then appeared on The Chawners’ Last Chance and Lorraine Kelly’s Big Fat Challenge in a bid to show their unhealthy lifestyles around.

As well as appearances on The Jeremy Kyle Show and Nightmare neighbours Next Door.

Emma confirmed the devastating news that her mother had ‘passed peacefully in her sleep’ in an Instagram post in Janurary.

Alongside an image of her mother Audrey, Emma wrote: ‘I’m just letting you all know my mum passed peacefully in her sleep at 4am this morning.’

Her followers were quick to take to the comments section to share their condolences and words of support.

Paying tribute, Emma also told The Sun: ‘She was a beautiful lady – loved her TV programmes, loved her animals and loved a great laugh.

‘Her favourite TV programmes were Emmerdale and EastEnders.

‘My dog also passed on Tuesday at 11am, and mum died on Monday, I said that night “mum if you happen to can hear me take Ruby with you”.’

Emma also gushed over her ‘lovely’ and ‘caring’ mother in a tribute on a GoFundMe page, arrange to assist raise money for the funeral.

‘My mum was lovely caring respectful lady and I miss [her] a lot,’ she wrote in the outline.
