Whoopi Goldberg showed off her trim frame as she stepped out in NYC on Tuesday – after revealing she took weight reduction drug Mounjaro.
The Oscar-winning actress, 68, who’s promoting recent book Bits and Pieces: My Mother, My Brother, and Me, wore a white shirt, cardigan and slim fit jeans as she strolled.
The star looked in good spirits as she arrived at Good Morning America – after revealing she was once a ‘high-functioning’ cocaine addict and feared her addiction would kill her.
The Ghost star became hooked on drugs during her early years in Hollywood, revealing she would go to parties where sedative pills Quaaludes and cocaine were handed out freely, and it took her to some dark places.
‘I used to be invited to parties where I used to be greeted on the door with a bowl of Quaaludes from which I could pick what I wanted,’ Goldberg wrote in her recent memoir.

‘Lines of cocaine were laid across tables and toilet counters for the taking.’
The actor explained her circle of friends had a relaxed attitude towards drugs and she or he didn’t see cocaine as ‘dangerous’.
She became a ‘very high-functioning addict’ for a few 12 months but she began to worry when she realised she was getting ‘sloppy’ on set and the turning point got here when she was staying at a luxury hotel in New York and a friend had given her cocaine as a birthday present.
Goldberg revealed she ended up sitting within the closet in her room sorting the drug, but she was disturbed by a maid.
‘I screamed. She screamed and backed up and looked like she was going to run.
‘I needed to get to her quickly and check out to calm her down. She was gazing my face as I talked.’
Goldberg eventually resolved the situation but when she looked within the mirror she realised she had white powder throughout her face. She went on to disclose it shamed her into giving up drugs.
‘I’d have been so embarrassed if my mother knew the extent the coke had me in its clutches,’ The View star said.
‘I knew I’d need to change out my friends and switch down invitations but I could try this. I didn’t wish to die.’

In March Goldberg also opened up about her time on weight reduction drug Mounjaro – as she revealed that she had a tough time respiration when her weight soared to 300 kilos in 2021.
The View hos revealed that she used the medication in 2021 while filming the movie Till after she said she unsuccessfully tried numerous other methods to attempt to slim down.

Now, she has opened up about her decision to try Mounjaro even further, explaining to Page Six in a recent interview that it not only helped her shed kilos, however it also improved her overall health.
She explained that she had been taking steroids following back surgery that tousled her ‘metabolism’ and led to her gaining a lot weight.
She said her weight got so severe that she ‘couldn’t breathe,’ and that Mounjaro was ‘the one way’ the doctors could ‘jumpstart [her] system.’
‘It was loads of weight for me to be carrying, and I didn’t realize how much weight I used to be carrying,’ she said.
‘I saw myself daily, and it didn’t look strange to me, but then I could not breathe. I used to be 300 kilos. I used to be like, ‘Oh, please, God, make this work.”
Whoopi first made the admission that she had used the drug on her show, The View – while defending fellow TV star Oprah Winfrey, who had confirmed that she used Ozempic in her ABC weight reduction special, Shame, Blame and the Weight Loss Revolution.
