Vinicius Mateus Viera Lima is the 2024 Musclecontest Brasilia Pro Men’s Physique show champion. The IFBB Pro League show was held in Brasilia, Brazil, on Saturday, May 5, 2024. It featured nine Brazilian pros vying for qualification to the 2024 Olympia in Las Vegas, NV, on Oct. 10-13, 2024. That qualification now belongs to Lima.
Emerson Costa finished because the runner-up, and Felipe Gonclaves won the bronze. The full final results can be found as they were shown on the scorecards:
Lima made his Men’s Physique Olympia debut in Orlando, FL, in November 2023 but placed outside the highest 15. This was his first pro show since, and he made probably the most of the chance. However, it was tough, as he and Costa were separated by only one point on the judges’ scorecards.
Lima has the luxurious of taking the remaining of the season off until the 2024 Olympia. Should he compete again and win a professional show, he would block that professional show’s Olympia qualification from being awarded. Only pro show champions advance to the Olympia in 2024.
This was Costa’s pro debut; a formidable begin to his bodybuilding profession. Costa can take the momentum of a one-point margin to gold with him into future pro shows. He has until Sept. 15, 2024, to win a professional show to achieve the 2024 Olympia stage.
This was also Gonclaves’ IFBB Pro League debut. He proved he could compete with the upper ranks, scoring a podium finish out of the gate. He has numerous future potential and fans should expect to see him capitalize on it within the relatively near future.
