Dillon competed on the Arnold Sports Festival UK in Birmingham, England, on March 15, 2024. Expectations were high for his performance and he didn’t disappoint, setting a brand new IPF world record raw deadlift with a colossal 391-kilogram pull. Check out the lift below, courtesy of the IPF Instagram account:

Dillon setup in a conventional stance and stretched tall, raising his arms to the heavens before taking the barbell in a mixed grip. The bar moved steadily to lockout with no sign of a sticking point. He doesn’t appear to have reached his limit yet.

Dillon’s lift broke the IPF deadlift world record set by Poland’s Krzysztof Wierzbicki on the Reykjavik International Games in 2019 and is barely 4.5 kilograms shy of the raw world record in the category above.

Dillon broke the record on his second deadlift. For his final pull, he attempted an incredible 411 kilograms, greater than anyone within the IPF has achieved in recent history. He moved the bar from the ground well but didn’t lock out the load. It was close, though, so it won’t be long before he extends the record again.
