Two Paths to the 2025 CrossFit Games
The path to the CrossFit Games is as constantly varied year over year as the workouts at your affiliate. From the early days when athletes just had to get to Aromas, CA, and put their names on a clipboard to the “D’Hondt Method,” we have seen many variations over the last 17 seasons. And that continues to be true for 2025.
Online Semifinals Pathway
The top 1% in the CrossFit Open qualify for In-Affiliate Semifinal (Online). Top men and women – currently, it appears that 12 each will qualify for the 2025 Games. That’s it; it’s that easy.
In-Person Qualifying Events Pathway
In total, the IPQEs will qualify 18 men and 18 women for the CrossFit Games (as far as we know currently; see more details below). In CrossFit’s season structure announcement, The Games team stated that “30 men and 30 women will advance to the 2025 CrossFit Games where we’ll crown the Fittest on Earth.” If there are 18 tickets available at IPQEs, that would leave 12 spots for the In-Affiliate Semifinal.
