The Dubai Fitness Championship: A Weekend of Fitness and Competition
Day One
The annual Dubai Fitness Championship took place last weekend, featuring 30 men and 30 women competing in a series of events that showcased their fitness and strength. The competition, which is one of the largest offseason events of the year, brings together athletes from around the world to challenge themselves in unique and memorable ways, incorporating the culture and stunning landscape of Dubai.
Day Two
The second day of competition kicked off with a 5K obstacle course, followed by a barbell complex and an elimination-style workout. In the women’s event, Elisa Fuliano led the pack, while Anikha Greer took the win in the men’s event. Unfortunately, Spain’s Gabi Castro withdrew from the competition after dislocating his shoulder.
Day Three
The final day of competition saw athletes tackle a 10-round EMOM, followed by two rounds of the same movements for time. Karin Frey and Benoit Boulanger won the event in their respective divisions, while Luka Ðukić and Jamie Simmonds sat atop the leaderboard heading into the final day of competition.
The Podium
After nine events, Karin Frey took the top spot in the women’s division, with Jamie Simmonds coming in second and Matilde Garnes in third. In the men’s division, Luka Ðukić took the win by a significant margin, with Bronislaw Olenkowicz and Toby Buckland in second and third place.
