HYROX Announces New Major Races Structure for the 2024/25 Season

The HYROX Elite 15 races will look somewhat different during the 2024/25 season than in years past. The functional fitness racing series announced that the 2024/25 HYROX Elite 15 series will comprise the following:

2024/25 Season HYROX Elite 15 Series

Four Major Races
- HYROX Amsterdam
- HYROX Hong Kong
- HYROX Las Vegas
- HYROX Glasgow

Majors qualification is earned via automatic qualification from the 2023/24 season and time placings in the current season. The top three times at each Major qualify for The HYROX World Championships.

One Last-Chance Qualifier (LCQ) — HYROX Barcelona

The Open Field event at the end of the Major season schedule fills any remaining spots for the HYROX World Championships.

Per HYROX’s press release, “the only route to qualify for the World Championships is by placing at a Major Championship or Last-Chance Qualifier event; there is no direct qualification via time in a regular season race.”

What are the Majors?

The Majors provide the first opportunities for athletes to qualify for the World Championships. Each race will host a Male and a Female Elite 15 Event, resulting in 15 men and 15 women qualifying.

When Does the Major Event Qualification Occur?

Automatic Qualification — Every Major Winner and World Podiums 1, 2, and 3 of Season 23/24 automatically qualify for each Major event.
Time Qualification — The average of the past year’s best two individual Pro times until 15 participants are reached. This new dynamic ranking is updated with each race to reflect the past 365 days from the event date.

Qualification for the World Championships

Podium finishers from each Major event qualify for the Elite 15 race at Worlds. The winner of each Major directly qualifies for all remaining Majors. The three remaining spots after Majors will be up for grabs by the top finishers in the Pro division of the LCQ.

Qualified athletes receive an email with all race-related information to confirm their spot. Aside from the Elite 15, the only way to participate in Worlds is to qualify through the regular process in the Age Group division.

Amsterdam (Major One) – Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024
Hong Kong (Major Two) – Friday, Nov. 22, 2024
Las Vegas (Major Three) – Friday, Jan. 31, 2025
Glasgow (Major Four)– Thursday, March 11, 2025
Barcelona (Last-Chance Qualifier)
