CrossFit Athlete Council Conducts Community Survey

CrossFit Athlete Council Releases Community Questionnaire for Feedback

The CrossFit Athlete Council (CAC) Individual/Coach Committee has released a "community questionnaire" to gather feedback for ongoing meetings with CrossFit HQ and the Games team.

What’s in the Questionnaire?

The survey was sent by Taylor Self, a representative from the Athlete/Coach committee, and will be open for submissions from February 10-17. You can fill out the questionnaire here.

The questions include topics ranging from safety concerns to season structure, the Open, and more. The survey is anonymous, and respondents are not required to provide a name or email address.

Key Questions and Topics

  • Safety: "Write-in answer: Please add any specific desired changes or suggestions to result in a safer competition experience for in-person CrossFit events (Semifinal/Sanctional/Games) here."
  • Season Structure: "Which is best for athletes, fans, and growth of sport?"
  • The Open: "Write-in answer: How can judging for ‘in affiliate’ Semifinals be best streamlined for efficiency for the athletes while maintaining the fairness of competition?"
  • Effect of Frequent Season Changes: "Write-in answer: Have the recent changes in CrossFit negatively affected your personal experience with the sport? If so, how and why?"

Conclusion

The CAC was created in late 2024 to provide a platform for athletes, coaches, and affiliate owners to share their competition experience and deliver recommendations to CrossFit. The questionnaire is an important step in gathering feedback from the community and ensuring the CAC represents the interests of its constituents.
