One of one of the best times of day to cultivate present-moment awareness is true upon waking. Each day is a present, but all too often we don’t recognize this upon waking. Instead, we jump off the bed and quickly are inclined to our tasks and to-do lists. We miss the chance to savor the beginning of our day with presence.
This morning mindfulness meditation script is an invite to bring more awareness to those quiet moments after waking. It can assist set the stage for a mindful day and deepen our awareness – of breath, of body, and of the brand new day.

Waking Up with Awareness
One of one of the best techniques to assist bring mindfulness
to on a regular basis living is to start out your day with it.
Many of us have a rushed morning routine
and don’t pause to be present until later within the day.
This exercise can allow you to start off your day with a mindful moment,
bolstering your practice in the approaching hours.
When you get up, take a moment to pause before you rise up.
If you employ an alarm clock, try attaching a sticky note to it to remind yourself.
Lying in bed, tune in to the body.
Feel the body resting, and see the way it feels to start moving and stretching.
Bring your awareness to the breath.
